What is the Adventure Course?

The Adventure Course is a futuristic obstacle course that utilizes themed real-life challenges to strengthen players’ bodies and develop focus and fundamental athleticism.  Created to make movement meaningful and fun, the Adventure Course goes beyond the mundane repetition associated with current fitness models.

Negotiating the Adventure Course requires almost no prior training because the body already knows naturally what to do. The course develops practical strength by challenging the entire body rather than focusing on isolated muscle groups, as seen in conventional resistance training.

The Adventure Sport burns calories and provides cardio conditioning at a greater level than machine training, promotes camaraderie and team spirit, and, above all, provides enjoyment and fun that will sustain involvement for a lifetime of health and fitness. The course is an adventure in strength, fitness, mental acuity, and personal accomplishment.

How does it work?

The Adventure Course presents players with a variety of challenge-graded obstacle course routes and games for developing athleticism and focus.  Sensors monitor hundreds of players at once, keeping tally of course times, selected routes, scores, metabolic assessments, and statistical comparisons with other players.

Along the way, Course Rangers provide safety and spotting, helpful techniques, and encouragement, and even challenge players for additional fun and excitement.  Upon completion of the game, players are presented with a scorecard. Typically, the objective is to get the most points possible during the 20- to 30-minute game.

However, games like keep-away, tag, and capture the flag can also be played on the Adventure Course, maximizing the appeal and utility of this new sport. For motivation, players are recognized and rewarded for getting higher scores.

Why do we need the Adventure Course?

More than ever, people are looking for alternative methods of exercise. Many are unsatisfied with the conventional choices offered by health clubs, while others simply want more excitement and fun designed into their recreation.

Many people are trying to unwind and rediscover their inner child.  Meanwhile, adventure reality shows like Ninja Warrior, Man vs. Wild, Survivorman, Survivor, Fear Factor, and The Amazing Race have become very popular – generating interest in real-life survival training.

In addition, global terrorism and natural catastrophes in recent years have left many wondering, “How could I physically and mentally prepare myself or my loved ones for an event like that?”  The Adventure Course is the answer, providing a fun and practical way to prepare for adventure activities or survival situations.

Is it safe?

Yes. Before playing, participants are required to complete simple Adventure Course safety classes. During the game, Course Rangers are present to assist players and prevent injuries.

How much does it cost?

$8 to $15 per day.

How long does it take to play?

20 to 30 minutes. And the high-traffic design of the Adventure Course means no waiting to play, even during busier hours.
